ITEC 2022 is the largest tire manufacturing exhibition and conference in North America and returns to the John S. Knight Center in Akron on September 13-15, 2022. It features a trade show and technical conference with more than 50 presentations from top-level tire industry experts. There will be keynote presentations from The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company and the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association, with additional presentations covering topics including sustainable solutions for tires, characterization tools and techniques, developments in tire testing, advances in machinery, automation, quality control, and much more. The winner of the Harold Herzlich Award 2022 will also be presented with a medal and will give a keynote presentation on Sept. 15.
Attendees can also register to join the ITEC Women’s Breakfast and Seminar on Thursday, Sept. 15 from 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. With the goal of helping nurture the career growth of female professionals, the session will feature Terry DeLapa, former chair of the ACS Rubber Division, who will detail her personal journey to success in a male-dominated profession and offer valuable insights into how attendees can achieve success in today’s changing workplace. The presentation will be followed by a panel discussion where leaders from tire manufacturing and service companies will discuss the latest trends, their views of the workplace and how they have established their personal identity within a corporate environment.
A five-day Tire Mechanics Short Course will run concurrently with ITEC 2022 and is certified by The University of Akron. The course will provide engineers and scientists with an in-depth, intense study around developments relating to tire and polymer engineering.
