The Akron Symphony Orchestra presents its Outside Voices Concert Series at Forest Lodge Park on August 15 at 7:30 p.m.
The free concert, presented in partnership with the City of Akron, will feature the Akron Symphony Virtuosi performing works from Scott Joplin, Miguel del Águila, W.C. Handy and John Philip Sousa.
The Outside Voices Concert Series focuses on the music of under-represented composers who are “outside” of the standard repertoire, along with numerous audience favorites. The series presents an opportunity for the ASO to expand its musical offerings and share a diversity of composers with the Northeast Ohio community, according to Music Director Christopher Wilkins.
While all the concerts in the Outside Voices series are free, we ask that those planning to attend RSVP by clicking on the tickets link and filling out a simple form. As our way of saying “thank you,” everyone who RSVPs will be entered into a drawing for two tickets to an ASO concert at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall during the 2021-22 season.
Please note: Concerts are weather dependent. All programming subject to change.
