    As a professional theatre company, we are dedicated to articulating the inherently theatrical components of Shakespeare and his fellow playwrights throughout the ages in a manner that enables the collected imaginations of the artists to meet the collective imagination of the audience in a public celebration that transforms the world in which we live.
  • Porthouse Theatre

    A professional, outdoor theatre located on the grounds of Blossom Music Center. Shows are presented in a covered, 500-seat, theatre. Pre-show picnics are encouraged! The 2013 season: "South Pacific," "Working: The Musical," and "Fiddler on the Roof."
  • Quirk Cultural Center

    Quirk is an active cultural center with loads of activities for all ages, with unique offerings for the senior adult community that include monthly events and activities geared towards their interests. The 200-seat Newell Theatre hosts regular acts, such as Point of No Return Improv.
  • Rubber City Shakespeare Company

    Rubber City Shakespeare Company brings affordable Shakespeare and classical drama to the Akron area through the use of their "Free Shakespeare" program. The "Free Shakespeare" project includes free staged reading throughout the year, and Pay-As-You-Like-It performances for each production in an artistic year.
  • Stow Symphony Orchestra

    The SSO exists to give orchestral musicians the opportunity to perform classical and contemporary classical repertoire in a professional atmosphere. It also gives audiences who might not otherwise have it, the opportunity to experience the classical repertoire in a setting that is comfortable—not intimidating, affordable, and enjoyable.   • The Illusion Factory

    Come see Akron's only professional touring company for children. The interactive "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is perfect for young audiences up to 8 years old and runs through June.
  • Tuesday Musical Association

    The association has grown into a group of professional musicians and music lovers alike, who both perform and attend concerts and recitals. Pre-concert lectures and performances are held at E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall.
  • Weathervane Playhouse

    Weathervane Community Playhouse produces high-quality live theater with volunteer artists, designers, and technicians under professional direction, provides education and training in theater arts and appreciation, and engages and entertains its audience and constituents to enrich the quality of life in Northeast Ohio.
  • Western Reserve Playhouse

    Experience dramas, comedies and thought-provoking performances by actors of Western Reserve Playhouse, which has been delighting audiences for more than 50 years. Performances are held in an 1886 barn, an intimate setting with 100 seats.
