Itinerary #1: It’s time to try something new…

Weathervane Playhouse

  • Over 85 years, Weathervane has constructed, torn down, recycled, painted and refitted stage settings for more than 800 productions. They've stitched up hundreds of costumes, created lighting magic by the multi-watt, crafted reality out of scores of stage properties and, most of all, shared the gifts of talent displayed by thousands of performers, taking their performance curtain calls to the applause of hundreds of thousands of theater-goers over the years.

  • THIS WEEKEND: Margaret Atwood’s Alias Grace tells the true story of an Irish immigrant who worked as a household maid in the mid-1800's and was later convicted of murder. Although set in another era, it speaks specifically and almost uncannily to today's audiences. The show addresses issues such as the reception of immigrants, the predatory nature of the powerful, and how others in power conspire to keep their crimes hidden.

  • Join them after the performance on Saturday, Jan. 18 for a Q&A with the playwright!

  • AUDIENCE ADVISORY: The play is recommended for audiences ages 16 and older due to adult content and themes.
