Paddle or Float the River
If relaxing with a view sounds like your idea of a good day, start with Float the River in Cuyahoga Falls. Enjoy a two-hour tubing adventure down the Cuyahoga River, taking in the surrounding forest landscapes along the way. On land, you can also play games like mini golf and volleyball or feed goats in the petting zoo.
For a more traditional swim experience, Water Works Family Aquatic Center in Cuyahoga Falls provides plenty of ways to cool off. You can float along the lazy river, race down water slides or splash around in the shallow play areas. It’s a convenient choice if you’re traveling with kids and want something the whole group will enjoy.
Cool Off at Local Splash Pads
Families with little ones wondering how to stay cool in Summit County this summer will find plenty of parks with splash pads throughout the Greater Akron area. Edgewood Park in Barberton, Central Park in Green and Firestone Park in Akron are among the area’s most popular splash pad parks.
